Dear Parents of Brunswick High School Students,

I am writing to provide you with an update concerning our annual Prom. At the start of this school year, we hoped to be able to hold many of our traditional events. Although schools have reopened, schools must adhere to strict guidelines for student and staff safety.  At present, state and county guidelines do not allow for large numbers of guests to come together for an event such as Prom. While we recognize that these guidelines may change in the coming weeks, it is unlikely that indoor gatherings such as prom will be feasible.  In addition, planning decisions regarding venues, entertainment and other amenities must be made well in advance of an event. For these reasons, Brunswick High School, along with the other high schools in Frederick County, will unfortunately not be able to offer a Prom for our students this year.  As always, our school will look forward to working with our community to look for alternate and creative ways to celebrate our students throughout the remainder of the school year.

Sincerely,

Michael Dillman

Principal
