A word from the principal of Pleasant Valley Elementary School, Michael Telemeco. “We are working hard to provide the best experience for students in a very troubling and tough time. We miss them terribly but have to do what is in the best interest of both students and staff. We are looking forward to a time when we can be back together.”
Alyssa Berg, a teacher at Pleasant Valley Elementary School, organized Operation Christmas Child through Samaritan’s Purse, filling shoeboxes again this year for Mt. Nebo United Methodist Church. There were 82 shoeboxes collected that were filled with school supplies, stuffed animals, toiletries, and small toys. Samaritan’s Purse is a nondenominational evangelical Christian organization providing spiritual and physical aid to hurting people around the world since 1970.
Students making a difference!

Lilly Berg collected bedding, food, treats, and toys for the dogs at the Humane Society. Way to go, Lilly!

Kaylee Wilson, of Pleasant Valley, and an 8th grade student at Boonsboro Middle School presented these amazing signs to the Boonsboro American Legion (one for each branch of the service) on Veterans Day. Kaylee is the Boonsboro Middle School FFA Junior Advisor. Awesome Kaylee!

With most winter sports canceled this year, Pierson Carter, 9, of Pleasant Valley tries to stay active enjoying time on his BMX bike at the pump track in downtown Frederick. Pierson is a 4th grader at Pleasant Valley Elementary School. Looking good Pierson!

Abby Wilson and two shoeboxes for Good Samaritan’s Purse Operation Christmas Child. Shoeboxes were filled with gifts for a child less fortunate. Great job Abby!
