Isabella Davoy, 9, is one talented young lady! She loves art and in her free time, she loves to sketch. Mom Heather said, “We first noticed her gift in arts in Kindergarten. She has excelled ever since. In the photo, she is holding the artwork that was chosen to go to Tamarack where it was featured in the youth art gallery. She won Second Place!” An avid nature and animal lover, Bella wants to be a veterinarian when she grows up. Isabella is the granddaughter of Jeannie Cole Green and the late Terry Cole of Sandy Hook. Way to go Bella!

The Valley extends sympathy to the family and friends of Joyce Smothers, who passed away recently. Joy graduated from Boonsboro High School in 1978. In school, many referred to Joy as “Juice.” She was lovingly known as a spitfire, fierce, but gentle. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
