Mark Osborn Merchant, age 65, of Glen Arm, Maryland passed to eternal rest on January 29th, 2021.  Born on April 1, 1955 in Baltimore, MD, Mark was the son of the late Paul O. & Dorothy N. Merchant (Nee Taulton).  Much beloved, Mark is survived by his sister and brother-in-law Sharon & Roger Karsk, Cockeysville, MD; brother and sister-in-law Paul T. & Sandra Merchant, Pylesville, MD; sister Dawn Capino of Knoxville, MD; and sister and brother-in-law Lisa & Ed Painter of Fincastle, VA; plus nieces Alexandra & Stephanie Newcomer, York, PA; Melanie Bindon, Denver CO; Crystal Rawlings, Middletown MD; Amanda Merchant, Belair MD; and nephews Paul A. Merchant, Pikesville MD and Dalton Stewart, Middletown, MD.  Mark was a 1973 graduate of Overlea Sr. High School in Baltimore.  After a brief stint in the US Navy, he went to work in the oil fields of Texas until finally returning home to Baltimore.  Mark made a career as a machinist and worked many years for Acadia Windows and Doors, Baltimore, MD, retiring in 2019.  An avid cook, and to everyone’s delight, Mark loved to whip up special dishes to share with family and friends alike.
