Frederick County Public Schools (FCPS) is hiring substitute employees for the current 2020-2021 school year.

Available Positions:Â
$18.00 an hour, 35 hours a week
The Long-Term Substitute Teacher will assume the responsibilities of the classroom teacher, to include planning, grading, and instruction. The long-term assignment will last at least ten (10) consecutive school days.
Must possess a minimum of an AA degree or sixty (60) college credit hours from an accredited institution.
$18.00 an hour, 35 hours a week
The Hybrid Learning Monitor will provide supervision and support to students in the school building and who are receiving virtual instruction from a teacher. The Hybrid Learning Monitor is not responsible for planning or grading.
Must possess a minimum of an AA degree or sixty (60) college credit hours from an accredited institution.
$16.75 an hour, 35 hours a week
The Resident Substitute Teacher is assigned to one (1) school/feeder pattern and provides coverage throughout the building as needed. The Resident Substitute is not responsible for planning or grading.
Must possess a minimum of an AA degree or sixty (60) college credit hours from an accredited institution.
$14.50 – $16.75 an hour, up to 35 hours a week
The Daily Substitute Teacher can accept or decline assignments from the Frontline Absence Management System based on availability and interest. Teaching plans will be provided for daily assignments.
Must possess a minimum of an AA degree or sixty (60) college credit hours from an accredited institution. The daily rate will be determined by education level.
Substitute Special Education Instructional Assistant or Charter School Instructional AssistantÂ
$13.27 an hour, up to 35 hours per week
The Daily Instructional Assistant Substitute can accept or decline assignments from the Frontline Absence Management System based on availability and interest. The Substitute Instructional Assistant will provide assistance to students and teachers during the day.
Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent (GED).
