Frederick, MD (July 28, 2021) – Frederick County Public Schools will be requiring all students and staff to wear face coverings inside our schools for the start of the 2021-22 school year.

There will be no requirement to wear face coverings outdoors; however, it is strongly recommended particularly for those who are unvaccinated.
The requirement to wear face coverings on school buses continues to be in effect.
* Please note these allowable exceptions to mask wearing:
- Medical condition
- Disability
- Developmental immaturity
- Other health or safety concerns as indicated by the Centers for Disease Control
