The Brunswick High School Varsity Tennis Team competed in the Frederick County Boys single-elimination tournament at Urbana High School on 6/7/2021. The competition lasted from the morning until about 4pm. Ben Kennedy, a Freshman from Brunswick High School, defeated Oakdale 10-5 and Middletown 6-1, 7-5 to compete in the 2nd Singles Tournament Finals on 6/8/2021. Both matches were in the blistering 90+ degrees heat and the semi-finals match against Middletown’s opponent lasted for over two hours. Pictured are from left to right: Ben Kennedy, Zavier Nilssen, Coach Collins, and Joseph Kennedy. Joseph Kennedy and Zavier Nilssen also competed in the tournament in the 1st and 2nd doubles division respectively.
