In order to be included on the local school’s academic honor roll for a 9-week grading period (term), the student must meet certain criteria:
- The student cannot earn a grade below “C” and may not have an incomplete (”I”) grade.
- The student must have earned no more than one (1) “C” grade.
- Any “C” must be balanced by an “A” course for course.
- All courses will be weighed equally.
- The honor roll will be divided into two (2) categories:
(1) First Honors = Students earning all “A” grades.
(2) Second Honors = The remainder of honor roll students. - In order for a student to be included on the local school’s final semester academic honor roll, the student must meet certain criteria:
a. The student cannot earn a grade below “C” and may not have an incomplete (“I”) grade.
b. The student must have earned no more than one (1) “C” grade.
c. A “C” must be balanced by an “A” credit for credit.
d. All courses will be weighed equally.
e. The honor roll will be divided into two (2) categories:
(1) First Honors = Students with a GPA of 4.0.
(2) Second Honors = Students with a GPA of 3.0 – 3.9 - The school will be directed by the following guidelines:
a. The principal will set up a procedure and assign staff to establish the honor roll.
b. The honor roll will be validated and published by the principal.
c. The honor roll published in the newspaper will be based on the term grades not the final yearly grades.
